KANAL - Centre Pompidou
On 5 May 2018, KANAL – Centre Pompidou will open its doors in the former Citroën Yser garage in Brussels for a programme prefiguring the ‘Cultural city’ in the making, comprising among others the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art that is in development. During the 13 months preceding the start of the work, the public will be able to discover this mythical building in its raw state through several art and architecture exhibitions, large installations and ten brand-new creations by Brussels-based artists. There will also be shows produced in collaboration with cultural organizations from Brussels.
ROMEO CASTELLUCCI
LA VITA NUOVA ROMÉO CASTELLUCCI A sense of beginning is perceptible here, in this vast car park where a dozen men have come together. Brothers, they have decided to bring a new world into existence, a better world, and to be together. Better than what? Than the world they have left, alienating activity, work, politics and art. They no longer believe in these forms of social life. Here, in this grey car park, whether European, American, Chinese, Russian, Australian, African or South American, is where the transmutations of the objects must take place as well as the reversals of all the values of art and humanity. Here and now, everywhere.
